How to get a Builders License in Victoria
Here are the 3 main steps we can help you with to get you Builder Registration in VIC.
Step 1: Complete the Application and prepare the entire Portfolio for submission to the VBA
Step 2: Sit the examination at the VBA which consist of approx. 60 computer-based multiple-choice questions and plan reading tests (these are NOT plans you look at on site). These tests will test your knowledge on National Construction Code (Volume 2), Australian Standards for Building and Construction and Acts and Regulations. (Don’t worry we get people ready everyday to pass this stuff)
Step 3: Attend an interview with an assessor from the VBA. The interview with the Assessor may go from 1-3 hours and will include more plan reading tests and questions about your experience in Building and Construction and the work you have been involved with. (Builders licence interview questions and coaching is what you need to avoid the nerves and put your best case forward to get your Builder registration)
